Using proven single component mix technology, means NO More Messy Polymer Buckets, and NO Liquid Polymer to Scoop or spill on the Job Site! 

An even greater benefit to using our Pro Bond as your Base Coat mix, is that Pro Bond has a longer working time, even in harsh conditions, that makes Pro Bond smoother, easier to trowel, and you wont “trowel out the sands” like so many of our competitors base coat mixes. Pro Bond has been used in the pool industry for years to help add another water resistant layer to the pool walls…and as a Base Coat for the Stone Edge Surfaces Deck and Balcony Waterproofing System…it is unmatched in the industry.

Our Pro Spray Mix, used as the Slurry/Smooth Coat and Texture Coat, along with Pro Bond, provide strength, workability, ease of use, water resistance, flexural strength and long lasting wear properties to all 3 of our Deck Waterproofing Systems. When you add in the other two waterproofing layers of the fiberglass mat and Deck Resin (in the PRO and CUSTOM Systems), and our Deck Seal waterproofing sealer…you have a Deck and Balcony Waterproofing System that is far superior to anything else on the market.

STANDARD SYSTEM 6 LAYERS:

OVER PLYWOOD: 1. Seam Tape using 40mil Seam Tape over Plywood seams. 2. Then the Metal Lath Layer using 2.5 metal lath. 3. Then the Base Coat Layer using Stone Edge Surfaces PRO BOND. 4. Then the Slurry/Smooth Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix. 5. Then the Texture Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix again. 6 inal waterproofing layer is 2 coats of Stone Edge Surfaces Tintable Deck Seal.

OVER CONCRETE: Base Coat Layer using Stone Edge Surfaces PRO BOND. Then a full Waterproofing layer using Stone Edge Surfaces Deck Resin and Fiberglass Mat. Then the Slurry/Smooth Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix. Then the Texture Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix again. Final waterproofing layer is 2 coats of Stone Edge Surfaces Tintable Deck Seal.

PRO SYSTEM 7 LAYERS:

Then a full Waterproofing layer using Stone Edge Surfaces Deck Resin and Fiberglass Mat. 5. Then the Stamp Mix 6. Final waterproofing layer is 2 coats of Stone Edge Surfaces Clear Deck Seal.

OVER CONCRETE: Base Coat Layer using Stone Edge Surfaces PRO BOND. Then a full Waterproofing layer using Stone Edge Surfaces Deck Resin and Fiberglass Mat. Then the Slurry/Smooth Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix. Then the Texture Coat using Stone Edge Surfaces Spray Mix again. Final waterproofing layer is 2 coats of Stone Edge Surfaces Tintable Deck Seal.

THICKNESS: Base Coat over Lath 1/8” – 1/4”, Slurry/Smooth Coat 1/16” – 1/8”, Spray/Texture Coat 1/16” – 1/8”, Colored Sealer Coat 1/32”

APPLICATION METHOD: Trowel, Magic Trowel, Mortar Sprayer, Nap Roller

WORKING TIME: 15 to 45 Minutes per Coat

PRODUCTS USED IN SYSTEM: Stone Edge Surfaces Pro Bond, Pro Spray, Deck Seal, Deck Resin, Rain Buster Membrane Tape, Fiberglass Sheet, with locally sourced Metal Lath, Staples, Flashing, etc.
