STONE EDGE SURFACES HAIRLINE CRACK FILL, is an easy to use hairline crack filling compound that can be used on concrete, concrete overlays, stone veneer and decorative concrete. In decorative concrete, Hairline Crack Fill can also be used as a topical coloring agent to enhance or accent the topical colors and add a mottled more realistic look.
Hairline Crack Fill is a just add water, no primer required, heavily polymerized concrete hairline crack fill. Hairline Crack Fill is used to fill, fix, patch and repair hairline surface cracks and crazing cracks that may appear as the concrete, concrete overlay, or Stone Veneer dries, settles, or due to concrete movement over time.
COLORING: Hairline Crack Fill can be integrally colored (mix the water with the color first, then add to the mix. Topically Colored or stained as you would any other concrete surface.
Hairline Crack Fill comes in Gray (Part # FXC610) or White (Part Number FXC620) in a 10 LB Pail.
BASE/TOP COAT: Top Coat, applied feather thin before coloring, and into hairline cracks for crack repair.
APPLICATION METHOD AS A HAIRLINE CRACK FILL:
Hairline Crack fill is applied into and over the cracks in the same general way you would grout tiles where you apply pressure and push or force the mix down as deeply as you can go into the crack to fill it, which will leave excess material all around the lip of the crack as well. Then wipe away the excess material off the surface, only leaving the crack fill in the crack itself.
APPLICATION METHOD AS A COLOR ENHANCER:
Hairline Crack Fill as a Color Enhancer is applied with a Cellulose Sponge lightly dipped in the Hairline Crack Fill mixture. Scrape off all excess material from the sponge. Do not Push the sponge onto the surface, you just need a light hazing of mixture on the high spots. “Lightly” drag the sponge over “just the high spots” of the stamped or carved concrete “before” applying your colors or antiquing. Let Hairline Crack Fill dry, and then apply your topical colors as normal. The areas where you applied Hairline Crack Fill as a Color or Accent Enhancer will mottle the colors slightly and add extra shading and realism.
WORKING TIME: Average 3 to 5 minutes when applied feather thin in.
