Stone Edge Surfaces Anti-Slip Sand helps provides increased slip prevention to sealers, epoxy, polyurea and polyaspartic floor coatings and systems, and can help provide a low cost, aggressive option to improve safety on wet slippery surfaces.
Our Anti-Slip Sand is a natural aggregate (green product) pulled from our own quarries, screened to a 50/70 mesh, then cleaned, dried and packaged in our own factories to insure quality and consistency.
Why Sand vs Other Anti-Slip Products. We own our quarry, so Stone Edge Surfaces Anti-Slip Sand is a consistent color and quality. Sand adds a very tough slip resistance & texture profile to a surface. Sand works well with high performance 2-part floor coatings.
Sand does not change physical properties of the coating. Sand can be well bonded into the body of the coating.
Stone Edge Surfaces Anti-Slip Sand is typically broadcast into the top coat while wet and then back-rolled to insure each grain is fully encapsulated, but can also be applied over 1st coat of material and followed by a 2nd coat of material.

APPLICATION METHOD: Mixed with or Cast over Sealers.
WORKING TIME: Same as Sealers it is Being Used With.

COVERAGE – SPREAD RATE: Typical spread rates can average 1 LB for every 100 sqft for residential to 1 LB every 50 sqft for commercial applications where safety requirements are much higher.
