Stone Edge Surfaces Vertical Spider Lath with furring strips is a fiberglass mesh lath (not metal) with wood strips to create the gap needed to inbed the lath into the concrete overlay mix. Spider Lath is a fiberglass mesh, so there are no sharp edges like metal lath, it stays flatter than metal lath and if a corner is bent, it goes flat again and does not hold the crease. .
